'Why go to Church?'
Our Lent discussion group this year is based on the book 'Why go to Church?' by Timothy Radcliffe. We'll be exploring why, for Christians, being part of a worship community is a central part of our faith. We meet after Mass on Sundays 17th, 24th and 31st March. You don't need to have read the book to join in the group, but if you want a copy to read as part of our Lent devotions, you can order a copy from Mthr Alice for £14.
Hidden in Plain Sight
The Diocese of London's Lent Appeal this year focusses on Modern Day Slavery. We will be praying for those who are affected by this blight on modern society at the first of our Wednesday monthly reflective services. Join us on Wednesday, 20th March at 7pm for a service of readings, music and prayers.
On Saturday, 30th March, from 12 noon until 2pm, we'll be hosting an Oasis 'picnic' for children and their families. Come and share some delicious food, play some games, and take part in lots of lovely Mother's Day themed crafts. You don't have to be a family...anyone is welcome for fellowship and support.
Mothering Sunday this year falls on Sunday 31st March. Our worship at 11am that morning will be an all age Mass, with a chance for us all to give thanks and pray for all those who have the responsibility for caring for children. There will also be flowers for you to take home for your mothers (or anyone else for that matter).
